Parish Council Procedures for Planning Applications

These procedures were approved and adopted by Brimpton Parish Council on 1 December 2015.

We will circulate all planning applications and give our views by e-mail (as at present).

If there is agreement, and if the deadline is before the next Parish Council meeting, the Clerk replies to West Berkshire Council (WBC) on our behalf. The Parish Council decision will be reported at the next meeting when the plans will be available for public inspection and comment.

If the deadline is after the next Parish Council meeting, we will still give our views by e-mail but hold the reply to WBC until after the Parish Council meeting at which the plans will be available for public inspection and comment.

If the deadline is before the next Parish Council meeting, any councillor who wants to call it in for discussion at the Parish Council meeting can do so and an extension will be sought from WBC.

All replies by the Parish Council to WBC will be reported to the Parish Council and public in open meeting.

All planning decisions by WBC will be reported to the Parish Council and public in open meeting.

All conditions applying to planning applications granted by WBC will be reported to the Parish Council and public in open meeting.

All reasons for planning applications being refused by WBC will be reported to the Parish Council and public in open meeting.
